Cyclohexanone is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C6H10O. It is a saturated cyclic ketone containing carbonyl carbon atoms in a six-membered ring. Colorless transparent liquid, with earthy smell, and mint flavor when it contains traces of phenol. The impure substance is light yellow, which will be colored with the impurities generated during storage, and will be water white to grayish yellow, with a strong pungent odor. The explosive pole of mixing with air is the same as that of open-chain saturated ketone. It is mainly used as organic synthesis raw material and solvent in industry, for example, it can dissolve nitrocellulose, paint, paint, etc.

Cyclohexidene cyanoacetic acid is obtained by condensation of cyclohexanone and cyanoacetic acid, and then cyclohexene acetonitrile is obtained by elimination and decarboxylation, and finally cyclohexene ethylamine is obtained by hydrogenation. Cyclohexene ethylamine is the intermediate of drugs such as Kemeiche and Temaren.
There are three main production methods of cyclohexanone: cyclohexane oxidation, phenol hydrogenation and cyclohexene hydration. The phenol hydrogenation process is the first process applied to the industrial production of cyclohexanone. There are two oxidation process routes for cyclohexane oxidation in industrial production, one is catalytic oxidation process and the other is non-catalytic oxidation process. The catalytic oxidation process mainly uses cobalt salt, boric acid or metaboric acid as the catalyst.

Provide fire fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment of corresponding types and quantities. Empty containers may contain harmful substances.
Storage precautions: store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. Keep container sealed. It shall be stored separately from oxidant and reducing agent, and shall not be mixed. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate storage materials.
Packaging precautions: ordinary wooden cases outside ampoules; Ordinary wooden cases outside threaded glass bottles, iron-capped pressed glass bottles, plastic bottles or metal drums (cans); Threaded glass bottles, plastic bottles or tinned thin steel drums (cans) are full of bottom plate crates, fiberboard boxes or plywood boxes.
Precautions for transportation: transport vehicles shall be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. It is better to transport in the morning and evening in summer. The tank (tank) car used for transportation shall be equipped with grounding chain, and hole partition can be set in the tank to reduce static electricity generated by vibration. It is forbidden to mix and transport with oxidants, reducing agents, edible chemicals, etc. During transportation, it shall be protected from sunshine, rain and high temperature. Stay away from kindling, heat source and high temperature area during stopover. The exhaust pipe of the vehicle carrying this article must be equipped with a fire arresting device. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks for loading and unloading. During road transportation, drive according to the specified route, and do not stay in residential areas and densely populated areas. It is forbidden to slide during railway transportation. It is strictly forbidden to transport in bulk by wooden boat or cement boat.

Cyclohexanone is a colorless, clear liquid with soil
smell; its impure product appears as light yellow color. It is miscible with several
other solvents. easily soluble in ethanol and ether. The lower exposure limit
is 1.1% and the upper exposure limit is 9.4%. Cyclohexanone may be incompatible
with oxidizers and nitric acid.
Cyclohexanone is a primarily used in industry, up to 96%, as a chemical
intermediate in the production of nylons 6 and 66. Oxidation or conversion of
cyclohexanone yields adipic acid and caprolactam, two of the immediate
precursors to the respective nylons. Cyclohexanone can also be used as a
solvent in a variety of products, including paints, lacquers, and resins. It
has not been found to occur in natural processes.
