The steep price gain was triggered by bullish upstream benzene values and stronger regional demand trends. Meanwhile, CFR South East Asia prices were assessed stable at the USD 700/mt levels.
Feedstock benzene prices were assessed at the USD 445/mt FOB Korea levels, a spike of USD 50/mt from the previous week.
Acetone prices climbed higher in some parts of Asia, this week. CFR South East Asia prices were assessed at the USD 875/mt levels, a week on week gain of USD 15/mt. The price rise was supported by higher upstream propylene values coupled with a lift in regional buying trends. Meanwhile, CFR China prices were at the USD 845/mt levels, unchanged from the previous week.
Feedstock propylene prices were assessed at the USD 910/mt CFR China levels, a rise of USD 5/mt from last week.
