1、 Gas phase method is the main method for producing gas-phase white carbon black. Its principle is to introduce silicon tetrachloride (SiCl4) and oxygen (O2) into the reactor at high temperature, and through high-temperature combustion reaction, generate silicon dioxide (SiO2) and hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas. Then, the silica is condensed into ultrafine particles through rapid cooling, and after treatment such as dust removal and deacidification, the gas-phase white carbon black product is obtained


The production process of gas-phase method is as follows: 


1 Mix silicon tetrachloride and oxygen in a certain proportion and introduce them into a high-temperature reaction furnace


In the reactor, the mixture undergoes combustion reactions to generate silica and hydrogen chloride gas


3. By using a rapid cooling device, the high-temperature gas is rapidly cooled to condense silica into ultrafine particles


After dust removal, deacidification and other treatments, gas-phase white carbon black products are obtained


The advantages of gas-phase method are continuous production, high product purity, and narrow particle size distribution. However, this method has high energy consumption and equipment investment


2、 Precipitation method is another method for producing gas-phase white carbon black. Its principle is to react silicate solution with acid under acidic conditions to generate silica precipitate. Then, gas-phase white carbon black products are obtained through processes such as washing, drying, and calcination


The production process of precipitation method is as follows: 


1 Mix silicate solution with acid in a certain proportion and react to form silica precipitate


2. Remove impurity ions and excess acid through processes such as filtration and washing


3. Dry and calcine the precipitate to obtain the gas-phase white carbon black product


The advantages of precipitation method are low equipment investment and relatively simple production process. However, the product purity of this method is low and the particle size distribution is wide


3、 Sol gel process 


Sol gel process is another method to produce fumed silica. Its principle is to hydrolyze and condense silicate solution under acidic conditions to form sol, and then obtain fumed silica products through aging, drying, calcination and other processes


The production process of sol gel method is as follows: 


1 Mix silicate solution with acid, hydrolyze and condense to form a sol


2. After aging, the particles in the sol are fully grown to form gel


3. Dry and calcine the gel to obtain the fumed silica product


The advantages of sol gel method are high product purity and narrow particle size distribution. However, this method has a longer production cycle and lower production efficiency
