Manufacturing Method of Polypropylene Recycled Material
I. Introduction
Polypropylene (PP) is a common plastic material with excellent thermoplasticity, chemical resistance and electrical insulation, which is widely used in the field of raw materials for the production of chemicals. With the massive use of polypropylene products, the recycling of waste polypropylene materials has gradually become an important topic. In this paper, a manufacturing method of polypropylene recycled material will be introduced, aiming to improve the utilization rate of waste polypropylene materials, reduce the production cost and promote sustainable development.
II. Materials and Methods
1. Materials
Waste polypropylene materials, catalysts, additives and so on.
2. Equipment
Twin-screw extruder, pelletizer, mixer, etc.
3. Manufacturing process
(1) Crushing and cleaning: the waste polypropylene material is crushed into small pieces and cleaned to remove the oil and other impurities in it.
(2) Drying: Dry the cleaned polypropylene pieces to remove the moisture in them.
(3)Batching:According to a certain proportion, add the dried polypropylene fragments, catalysts, auxiliaries, etc. into the mixer and mix them evenly.
(4) Extruding and pelletizing: Add the mixture after batching into the twin-screw extruder, and make the regenerated polypropylene pellets through the processes of heating, melting, extruding, drawing, cooling, and pelletizing.
(5)Post-processing:The produced recycled polypropylene pellets are sieved, de-contamination and other post-processing to get qualified recycled materials. III. Results and Discussion
1. Properties of Recycled Materials
The recycled polypropylene materials produced through the above process have good thermoplasticity, chemical resistance and electrical insulation, which can meet the requirements of most chemicals production. Compared with virgin polypropylene materials, the performance of recycled materials is slightly reduced, but the difference is not significant, and can be used in many occasions to replace the virgin materials.
2. Analysis of influencing factors
(1) the type and quality of waste polypropylene materials: different types of waste polypropylene materials, the composition and properties of which vary greatly, have a great impact on the performance of recycled materials. Therefore, when choosing waste polypropylene materials, it is necessary to test and classify them according to their sources and compositions to ensure the stable quality of recycled materials.
(2) Selection of catalysts and auxiliaries: Catalysts and auxiliaries also have an important impact on the performance of recycled materials. Choosing suitable catalysts and auxiliaries can improve the properties of recycled materials such as melt index and tensile strength.
(3) Control of manufacturing process: The control of manufacturing process is crucial to the performance of recycled materials. It is necessary to reasonably control the temperature, pressure, speed and other parameters of each process to ensure the quality and yield of recycled materials.

This paper introduces a manufacturing method of polypropylene recycled material, which can convert waste polypropylene material into qualified recycled material through the processes of crushing and cleaning, drying, batching, extrusion pelletizing and post-treatment. This method can improve the utilization rate of waste polypropylene materials, reduce production costs and promote sustainable development. At the same time, the performance of the recycled material is slightly reduced compared with virgin material, but it can be used as a substitute for virgin material in many occasions, and has certain market prospects.
