Manufacturing method of organosilicon DMC (methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride)

I. INTRODUCTION

Organosilicon DMC is an important raw material widely used in the field of chemical production, with excellent performance and application value. In order to meet the growing market demand, improve the production efficiency and reduce the cost, this paper aims to discuss the manufacturing method of organosilicon DMC.

II. MATERIALS AND METHODS

1. MATERIALS

Methyl methacrylate (MMA), trimethyl ammonium chloride (TMAC), methanol, sodium hydroxide, etc.

2. Equipment

Reactor, stirrer, thermometer, condenser, water separator, etc.

3. Manufacturing method

(1) Add methyl methacrylate (MMA) and trimethyl ammonium chloride (TMAC) into the reaction kettle according to a certain proportion and stir well.

(2) While stirring, slowly add sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH to a predetermined range.

(3) Heat the reaction kettle, control the reaction temperature within a certain range, and carry out the ester exchange reaction.

(4) Split water in time during the reaction and collect the generated methanol.

(5) At the end of the reaction, cooled to room temperature, filtered to remove impurities, to obtain the organosilicon DMC crude product.

(6) The crude product was refined to obtain the organosilicon DMC product with high purity.

III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Through the above fabrication method, we successfully synthesized the organosilicon DMC and analyzed its properties and purity. The results show that the obtained organosilicon DMC products have high purity and excellent performance, which are in accordance with the relevant industry standards.

2. Discussion

(1) The ester exchange reaction is a key step in the synthesis of organosilicon DMC, which requires the control of appropriate reaction temperature and pH value to ensure the smooth progress of the reaction.

(2) The water splitting operation is of great significance for improving product quality and purity, and needs to be carried out in time to avoid the generation of by-products.

(3) The refining process can effectively improve the purity of the product, but attention needs to be paid to the selection of suitable refining methods and operating conditions to avoid the loss of product properties.

IV.CONCLUSION

In this paper, a manufacturing method of organosilicon DMC was explored, and organosilicon DMC products with high purity and excellent properties were successfully synthesized by controlling the reaction conditions, water splitting operation and refining process. The method has the advantages of simple operation and high efficiency, and provides a useful reference for the field of chemical production. Through further research and optimization, it is expected to improve the production efficiency and reduce the cost of organosilicon DMC, and make greater contributions to the development of related fields.
