4. Hydrogenation and reduction: The crude 2-propylpentanal was added to a high-pressure hydrogenation reactor and hydrogen was passed through to carry out a hydrogenation and reduction reaction to produce 2-propylpentanol.

5. Refining: By distillation, extraction and other refining methods, the 2-propylpentanol product with higher purity is obtained.

4. Equipment requirements

Manufacturing 2-propylpentanol requires the use of equipment such as reactor, stirrer, heater, cooler, separator and so on. Among them, the high-pressure hydrogenation reactor is the key equipment, which needs to have high pressure and temperature tolerance, and at the same time ensure good sealing and safety.
